Just Out Of Curiosity, How Long Does It Take For Velcro To Be Fully Attached?

Collectibles Auction Store
Written on December 6, 2010 – 11:23 pm by Collectibles Auction Store

Today I bought two strips of the stuff so as to fix my plastic, classic collectible Don Post Darth Vader mask…. Erm I mean to fix some ordinary household objects that wouldnt cost any money at all if any burglars came in and decided to steal something.

Seriously though, it says on the packet something like “Heavy Duty” stick on strips to the weight of 15kg.

*Decides to weigh himself*

Should I leave the velcro on overnight for it to be fully adhesive or can I use the thing that I velcroed now – I attached it about ten minutes ago and theres a Master Replica Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber raring to be ignited along with the Darth Vad- um the ordinary household object which is of uh, no monetary value.

In short how long does it take for velcro to be REALLY strong.

I really should have posted this question on the 3rd of May so I could have celebrated May The 4th – Star Wars Day in style, not like I’m a Harrison Ford fanatic or something *Eyes swivel left and right.*

Is it normal to be 30 something and still have EVERY SINGLE TOY you ever EVER had?

My husband still has every toy he’s ever owned, played with, or bought, iam talking from his infancy until he was too old to have them.

It doesnt matter how broken, how old, how worn, or in how many pieces theyre in, or how many pieces are missing. He will NOTget rid of ANY of them.

Dont get me wrong, these are NOT collectable items, theyre dollar store trinkets, or very VERY broken and used toys. The only thing he has that might have been worth something are some original JI Joes (which are literally missing limbs and clothing) and the star wars toys (which are broken and missing pieces).

Every time we move or clean he comes across another box, he wont get rid of ANYTHING, not even little marbles or the wheels that are broken off match box cars. Our barn, our back room, and his parents attack are all FULL of boxes of his crap.

On top of the toys, he REFUSES to get rid of the clothes he had in highschool. He was still wearing them when we met (he was 25).

Is this normal?
Parents attic… lol, not attack. Although Iam sure they could attack…

Does anyone remember a pair of robot toys that was released in the late 1970′s??

They resemble C3PO and R2D2, but they were’nt. The C3PO lookalike was about 10 inches high, it had a silver body like C3PO, but the head was a green alien. The R2D2 (if I remember correctly) was black and I think it had robot arms. I don’t remember what they were called other then maybe Galaxy Wars.
They were not the Micronuts action figures.
I do remember that at the time I saw them on the toy store shelf they also had the first Alien action figure that was also about 10 inches high from the movie Alien.
I know I saw them cause I bugged my parents for a while to buy it for me, but they never did.
I’ve gone to book stores to find it in the toy collectables books, but its not listed. then again I dont remember what the toys were called. I have gone online and I’ll find other toys in the era but not these.
They were clearly Star Wars Knockoffs, and that may be the reason they dont exist at all.
Does anyone know what they were called, remembers them, or were I could find them????

Can you recall a time you went crazy/lost it with excitement?

For me it would definitely have to be (and I’m very sure any Star Wars fan would agree with me on this one) May 16th 2005 for the premiere of Revenge Of The Sith at London’s Leicester Square.
George Lucas was being interviewed by all and sundry and when he came over to where I was (there was this guy closer to him than I who had my notebook) and me being normally a very reserved gentleman just lost it big time I yelled “Get George Lucas’s autograph” three times I just got so caught up in the atmosphere and got it he did in my notebook and this is probably one of the most collectable things if not the most collectable thing I own.

This is a picture I took shortly after with Mr. Lucas himself and one or two other famous people you might recognise.
